Ahegaocon 2023 Gogo Dancing

I wanted to edit these before the burlesque photos because I knew they would be more challenging. The stage was much darker than during the earlier burlesque performance and finding a shutter speed that worked with the refresh rates of all the LED lights while still freezing the action was going to be tricky. Still, I went out there with my widest aperture lens (my nifty 50mm with F 1.8) and just tried to have fun with it. The result? A handful of really fun “artsy” shots and a big pile of misses. For most projects I try to dial in as accurate as possible colors in post production, so it was a fun (and probably good for me growth-wise) to have a set of images to play with where I could just dive in to Lightroom and be playful with everything. Shoutout to the Midnight Minxes both for the incredible talent on display as well as letting myself and a few other people take a shot at Gogo dancing too!
